7 Trends in Content Marketing to look forward to

Man used to transmit messages orally when it all began after the pandora’s box opened after the discovery of fire. But the man can only speak so much, the man can only travel so much. This transmission of message was effective but slow. Man learnt writing then. The menial pages on the street were filled with invaluable ink of priceless knowledge and it spread like wildfire. These are the first traces o content writing that I can think of. People like William Shakespeare and Thomas Hardy made the best out of it and their content was known throughout the country in those times. Wars were won with the courage of pen and paper, love was spread with the delicacy of menial papers and formidable ink.

People think that the world is using the power of content writing now but I believe that every step that man took out of his country was through content marketing. Content writing enabled people to know what the other countries were doing and how business worked for them. This is what encouraged people to step out and travel to other countries in order to expand their businesses.

Content marketing is the practice of creating valuable and relevant content with the aim of attracting an audience and turning them into customers. Numbers say that content marketing created 3x more leads than paid advertising and hence, companies believe creating content for blogs as their marketing priority.

Today we are going to discuss 7 trends of content marketing that we can look forward to.

Podcasts have become really popular in the last 2 years and it is going to turn up a notch in the coming future. Making podcasts are really convenient. I follow “The Joe Rogan Experience” and he basically calls few important guests on his podcast and he has really great following. The thing that I take notice of every time, is the products that he promotes during the podcasts and the impact that they create. It couldn’t get any more convenient.

Podcasts are also convenient for consumers as they don’t have to take time and read it. They can just listen to it while they are walking or working out. I see a great potential in podcasts as the medium for content marketing.

Video Content:

Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, TikTok, Linkedin, etc. On every platform, video content has always been really efficient in spreading out the message. With the advent of Netflix and Amazon Prime, people are moving thier content consumption to videos and it is expected to move at the same speed, if not faster. Youtube is the second most visited website after Google. TikTok is the fastest growing social media platform.

Live streaming gives an opportunity for companies to connect with customers in real time. This helps the companies bring out the human factor and show that they are beyond just a strong name and a beautiful website. The trend is going to play major role in promotion of products and sales of products through affiliate marketing.

 Instagram carousel posts:

If you haven’t heard of the carousel type of post, it is basically a slideshow of photos. It’s great for all of those who find that one image is not enough to transfer the message they want to convey.

When it comes to businesses, the carousel post allows them to share multiple photos of the same product and show it off in different lights, environments, and angles.

It’s also great for showing behind-the-scenes and before and after photos, pictures with different filters, positive product reviews, outtakes, recaps, and many more.

User Generated Content:

What if you get a break from making content? You can even post testimonials of your customers to make the content work. You can also ensure that you show your customers how much you value the relationship with them.

Google Snippets:

Do you remember the content in the rectangle you find when you google anything? Those are Google Snippets. And Google Snippet are here to stay. It is important to realize what content is to be posted in this snippet so that it takes the visitor to your website. And this is how you can increase the traffic on your website.

Voice Search:

We are getting lazier with the increasing technology and this has led us to be bored of typing. Hence, we are shifting to voice search. You can do a number of things to optimize your voice search. Read your content out loud and make sure it sounds natural. Avoid using complicated language and long and over-complicated phrases that no one knows.

Content Experience:

Content isn’t just about the words, pictures and quality. The content posted on blogs should be well structured and the layout of the page should be optimized in a way that the page loads faster and content looks easy to read.

To make sure that your content isn’t sore to eyes, add imagines, headings, subheadings and footers so that it is easy to look at.

That is all from our side. Please let us know in the comment section about the trends you think will change the system. Stay Home Stay Safe 🙂
